We have a very unique 1894 French Stradivarius Copy Fiddle. This fiddle was previously owned by local fiddler William Coleman Johnson aka Bill Johnson. Johnson used to play fiddle all around the region and regularly with Casey Jones. This fiddle has vintage mechanical tuning pegs which seem to work. The bridge is definitely shaved flatter for more fiddle styles of playing. Has old strings on it, you'd definitely want to put some new ones on. Fiddle comes with its original case and a METAL bow. (The bow is not usable/repairable, more for novelty ownership.) The year and country of origin was provided by violin experts at Lane & Edwards Violins. We can provide a letter stating this information and value.

CONDITION: This is an old fiddle. The body is in excellent shape. The fiddle has vintage mechanical tuning pegs which seem to work. We tuned it up and filmed a video and the tuning stayed. Long term is hard to tell. The bridge is definitely shaved flatter for more fiddle styles of playing. Has old strings on it, you'd definitely want to put some new ones on. This is a vintage instrument and as such has had some wear and tear, sold as is. Please purchase accordingly.
