Antique 1894 French Catalogue Stradivarius Copy Violin

We have a very unique 1894 French Stradivarius Copy Fiddle. This fiddle was previously owned by local fiddler William Coleman Johnson aka Bill Johnson. Johnson used to play fiddle all around the region and regularly with Casey Jones. This fiddle has vintage mechanical tuning pegs which seem to work. New bridge and strings installed 10/8/2020.

Fiddle comes with its original case and a METAL bow. (The bow is not usable/repairable, more for novelty ownership.) The year and country of origin was provided by violin experts at Lane & Edwards Violins. We can provide a letter stating this information and value. See photos. See letter in photos.

CONDITION: This is an old fiddle. The body is in excellent shape, double blocked. The fiddle has vintage mechanical tuning pegs which seem to work. We tuned it up and filmed a video and the tuning stayed. Long term is hard to tell. New bridge and strings as of 10/8/2020.

SHIPPING: Shipping in the United States ONLY. This item will be insured against any shipping damage. Bridge is lowered upon shipping to avoid damage during transit. Also, it is common for sound posts to fall over in shipping. If the sound post has fallen, it's a simple fix, nothing is broken. Just take to a violin shop and they can stand it back up for you.
